Isolation Observation
Is a project I started while in quarantine. I never liked the idea of investing in some expensive lens for my camera because I came to realize I might not use them once I have them. That happened with both my digital and film camera - I found myself needing a reason to go out photographing for me to carry them with me; and whenever I saw something worthy of photographing I was missing my tools.
My phone is with me all the time and luckily, nowadays some phones have optical zooms too. But for me that wasn't enough.
What started as a joke - using an old set of binoculars as lens for my phones - became a full project once I found myself quarantined on the 9th floor of a flat in Bucharest. So I started documenting the small things and lives happening around.
Now I carry them both with me when I travel and I am constantly working on growing a large catalog of such photos.
